What brand of vehicle did /will you replace with the Flex?
I am curious what brand of vehicle you replaced when purchasing the Flex. I was only allowed ten choices so some had to be grouped while others were left out (Mercedes should be in there - sorry). If you comment you can be more specific. I have allowed re-voting and two choices. Personally - I replaced a Venture minivan and I am never looking back ) I also ran out of voting room to indicate that this is a new vehicle and it is replacing nothing. Ehh... another survey?

Re: What brand of vehicle did /will you replace with the Fle
We had a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. Pretty much full load. Nav, MyGig, Infiniti sound system, Trailer tow with load leveling, HID's, Swivel N Go 2nd row seats, Sunroof and the 4.0L engine.
Initially, it was a pretty good vehicle. This was a first year redesign (mistake, I know we shouldn't have) but I was smart and took a 27 month lease (THANK GOD). Then the issues started piling on.
-Split Power steering hose (not once, but on 3 separate occasions) -Power 3rd row seat system failed, needed to be completely replaced. But since the vehicle was new, it took 1.5 months to get a new 3rd row. -MyGig Hard drive and radio unit locked up, needed to be replaced -Brake Master Cylinder failed, needed to be replaced -I/R key fob (like the Mercedes key fobiks) would not release from the key cylinder, replaced entire key fobik system -Front brakes (pads AND rotors: FINISHED) needed replacement @ 20,000 kms -Replaced both side mirrors as the lens to the turn signal fell off both -Replaced alternator due to loud grinding sound
Remember we had this van for only 27 months and 48k kilometres. Truly unbelievable. I will never go Chrysler again.

We had a 10-year old Ford Expedition XLT, 1999, with 230,000 miles. We bought it new, it was a great vehicle. Started to have reliability issues toward the end due to age. Considered another Expedition (hubby was getting one for work, so didn't need 2), the Edge (too small), and the Flex.

I used "cash for clunkers" to trade in a Ford Explorer XLT for the Flex SEL.

39 month lease expired on our '06 Nissan Armada. Loved that vehicle, all except for the 12.4MPG over the life of the truck.

There was no "Mazda" option. The Flex will eventually replace my wife's '05 Mazda 3 wagon if and when it gives up.

Re: What brand of vehicle did /will you replace with the Fle
Several brands were left out since I was only able have ten selections. Subaru, Mazda and many European choices were not available. GM should have been broken down to nameplate along with Dodge and Ford. Jeep would be catagorized as a Dodge brand even though, in my opinion, Jeep is the Dr. Pepper of Pepsi... basically an entity (and owner loyalty) unto themselves despite 'ownership'. Sorry... we're at the mercy of our limitations.
