2011 Order Times

Hi Folks,

After 2 weeks of scouring the eastern seaboard searching for our specs, I'm coming close but no cigar. I'm close to just ordering but before I did was curious if anyone had any recent insight on delivery times for the 2011 model. Previous posts indicate anywhere from 4-12 weeks historically. Anybody shopping hearing any differently?

P.S. For what it's worth, my system for searching is:

1. Define requirements on Edmunds.com and use their Inventory look-up to retrieve cars within 500 miles of my target zip code
2. Open new tabs (thank god for tabbed browsing!) on the vehicles that look promising
3. Plug the zip code in from the prospective dealers into dealerconnection.com (Ford's site)
4. Search new inventory on each dealer's website
5. View Window sticker for each prospective car

In reaching out to dealers I've found the inventory on the lot syncs up with what's showing online. The system is a bit tedious but I like it better than being beholden to my local dealer. It would be amazing if Ford would open up searching for cars regionally, but I can see why they don't. Can't give the consumer too much power or the proverbial wheels fall off.
